The Pack-ice
The frozen ice covering the vast sea. Travellers must cross the sea if they wish to get to the Tundra, but then, who would want to go there? The pack-ice is much better better for hunting, seals haul themselves onto the ice-floes, easy prey for an experienced hunter. But beware the ice depths, the ice may crack at any time, and if you don't drown, there are always the hungry orcas waiting for you to make a mistake...
