Open Tundra The Far North is a very harsh place indeed. The tundra is the northern-most point of Matakatza, a snowy wasteland. No trees are able to grow here, only stunted, withered plants clinging desperately onto life. A little further south live the Ice-tribes, the Bears and Arctic Foxes, scraping a living, hunting seals and reindeer on the pack ice... Moderator: Dusk |

The Pack-ice The frozen ice covering the vast sea. Travellers must cross the sea if they wish to get to the Tundra, but then, who would want to go there? The pack-ice is much better better for hunting, seals haul themselves onto the ice-floes, easy prey for an experienced hunter. Mdambi Rock A great stone crag that juts out of the Savannah. This great rock marks the border between Kiwara and Tsura, and it is guarded fiercly. It is among these plains that the Grassland Clans dwell. Kijito River A small river that runs past Mdambi Rock, and into the Watering Hole. While only small, it is an important source of water in the savannah. There is a plentiful supply of Catfish here for a hungry fisherman, and Storks can be hunted among the shallows. |

The Watering Hole A small body of water in a sea of grass, the Watering Hole is kept full by the Kijito River. Animals meet here to drink, predator and prey united by thirst. Impala and Waterbuck gather along the shore- line, keeping a wary eye out for Wild dogs, Hyenas, Leopards and Cheetahs. Flocks of multicoloured birds flutter and cry along the Watering Hole's banks. Crowded, yet beautiful, should you take the time to observe the life found in Kiwara Plains... |
